Veriday 10th Anniversary

Veriday / September 26th, 2022

On August 20th Veriday colleagues, past and present, assembled from around the world at Appleby College in Oakville, Ontario, to celebrate Veriday’s 10th anniversary! With our friends and families in attendance, we looked back fondly on what we’ve built together over the last decade: from the early days of Saturday morning meetings over Tim Horton’s coffee where ideas incubated, to the realization of that ideation we’ve achieved together, it was a day of fun, reflection, and and anticipation, as we look forward to what the next ten years will bring.

Founders Marc and Chris Lamoureux gave speeches over lunch with Marc sharing the Veriday origin story of a bunch of good friends gathering together to turn a good idea into a thriving company through hard work, determination, and building lasting relationships with good people, and companies with shared values. He shared how Veriday has evolved, having several other iterations before becoming what we are today, and how our founding principles continue to guide us. Chris carried those themes forward by imagining what the future may hold; sharing the ways Veriday has shown our dedication to the community, to our partners and clients, and projecting a clarion vision for where we may go from here. We also honored the service of 14 colleagues who have been with Veriday since the beginning (some since before the beginning, having worked with Marc and Chris since long before Veriday became Veriday), by presenting them with certificates and a special gift for a decade of dedicated service.

Building a company through hard work, determination, and building lasting relationships with good people, and companies with shared values.

At Veriday, we have always prided ourselves on cultivating a culture of hard work, and dedication, to our clients, and to each other. The family atmosphere we’ve always placed at the forefront was unmistakable as the Veriday Family’s youngest members, who we’ve dubbed “Veridactyls” enjoyed an afternoon of scavenger hunts, water balloon fights, games, races, and bounce house shenanigans stole the show, keeping us entertained, and proving that competitiveness is an inherited trait.

Marc closed his speech with a quote from the book “Tuesdays with Morrie,” saying, “‘Devote yourself to loving others. Devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning.’ We’ve always aspired to that here, and we always will.” It was privilege to be able to celebrate all that Veriday has achieved in the last decade, and we look forward to what we can do together in the next ten years!
